I hold a PhD in feminist comedy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My live art practice integrates neo-burlesque and stand up comedy. My teaching and research interests include comedy, live art, physical theatre, writing for performance, commedia dell'arte, feminist performance, conceptual art, and philosophical models of the comic body. I trained at the Dell'Arte School in California. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
