If you are planning to stay in Halls, you can view accommodation costs on our website as well.

Before you enrol on your course, remember to take a look at the payment checklist so that you are all set for the start of term. You can also view the full payments section if you would like to know more about how and when to pay your fees. Please contact us if you have any queries.

Funding your course

Loans and student funding

Undergraduate

If you're a UK student, studying full or part-time for your first undergraduate degree, you can apply for a student loan from The Student Loans Company. Maintenance loans are also available to help with your living costs, such as rent or food. The amount of loan you get will depend on whether you'll be living away from home, your household income and the benefits you're entitled to.

You'll only start paying back your tuition fees and maintenance loan once you're earning over a minimum amount per year. If your earnings drop below that amount, repayments will automatically stop.

Postgraduate and research

If you are a UK student resident in England and are aged under the age of 60, you will be able to apply for a loan to study for a postgraduate master's degree. Taught and research-based courses in any subject are eligible, excluding postgraduate certificates (PgCert) or postgraduate diplomas (PgDip). Funding is available for both full-time and part-time study. The loan will be paid directly to you and will be non-means tested. It can be used towards the fees for your course or you can spend it on living costs.

Eligible doctoral research students can also borrow funds to help with course fees and living costs.
