Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 athletes shine in local Sunbelt Baseball League

This summer, six Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 students are on rosters for the .

Established in 2005, the Sunbelt League is a collegiate summer baseball program based in metro Atlanta aimed at helping young college athletes achieve their dreams of playing at a professional level. It showcases talent from more than a hundred colleges and universities. Multiple Sunbelt League alumni have signed with and been drafted by Major League Baseball teams.

This summer, incoming freshmen Carson Weir ’23Ìý²¹²Ô»å Ryan Whitener ’23 will pitch for the Marietta Patriots. Sophomore Rajan Sampat ’21 is a catcher for the Alpharetta Aviators. Sampat previously played for the Brookhaven Prospect Bucks team. And senior Noah Cole ’20 is a pitcher for the Brookhaven Bucks team, which uses Â鶹ɫÇ鯬’s Hermance Stadium as their home field during the summer months.

Additionally, two Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 students are on Sunbelt League Prospect teams, which serve as feeders for the professional Sunbelt teams. Incoming freshman Sam Janis ’23 is a catcher for the Brookhaven Prospect Bucks and sophomore Will Arnold ’22 is an outfielder for the Norcross Prospect Astros.
