After suspending in-person performances due to the pandemic, all Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 University musical ensembles are returning to the Conant Performing Art Center stage for a Fall Music Gala on Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.
Each musical group will be featured in the Gala, including theÌýÂ鶹ɫÇ鯬 University Singers and Chorale,ÌýÂ鶹ɫÇ鯬 University Symphony, and The Jazzy Petrels, Â鶹ɫÇ鯬’s jazz ensemble.

The program features music by Beethoven, Handel, Hildegard von Bingen, Duke Ellington and an original from Director of the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 University Singers Dr. Timothy Michael Powell.
Additionally, Affiliate Artist in Voice Lianna Wimberly Williams will perform a featured solo with the Singers. New to Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 University, Williams is a vocal artist on several professional choral rosters.
“I have such a deep love for choral singing!” says Williams, a mezzo soprano.
Though the student performers in these groups were able to find creative ways to perform last year — including streaming their spring concert to — the Fall Music Gala is a long-awaited return to in-person performances.
The event is free for all to attend.
