To celebrate the first week of the 2018-2019 academic year, new students filled the Conant Performing Arts Center for Convocation, an official welcome to their Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 journey from President Larry Schall ²¹²Ô»åÌýProvost Dr. Glenn Sharfman.
Students also heard from faculty members Drs. Sarah Terry and Amanda Whooley, alumnus Aadithya Prem ’17, and Student Government President Brad Firchow ’19.
The OU Singers, directed by Dr. Timothy Powell, performed “History Has Its Eyes on You,” from Hamilton: An American Musical, and the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 alma mater. Under the direction of Dr. Michael Rulison, Honor Council secretary, new students signed the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Honor Code.
Afterward, the Academic Quad was converted into a party for Quadfest, complete with games, revelry, dinner al fresco and King of Pops, hosted by the Student Government Association’s Programming Board.
